Hollister American previously defeated Hollister National 7-6 on Thursday in the semifinal round. The victory advanced American to Sunday’s championship, while the loss placed National into the semifinal round of the elimination bracket.
Needing another victory to remain alive and move forward to the finals, though, Hollister National easily defeated Soledad 21-5. It was a comfortable margin and one that far exceeded Hollister’s previous outcome against Soledad earlier in the tournament when it defeated Soledad 8-2 in the quarterfinal round.
