Hollister resident
Hollister resident Amparo D. Lanip died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 60.

Mrs. Lanip was born in The Philippines. She came to San Juan Bautista in 1973 and moved to Hollister in 1977. She had worked as a research technician for 20 years, most recently with Asgrow Seed Co. in San Juan Bautista. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Philippine-American Community Association.

She is survived by her husband, Domingo Lanip of Hollister; her children, Devin D. Lanip and Belinda D. Lanip, both of Hollister; her sisters, Angelina Alhadi and Pressy Villasenor, both of Hollister, and Leonora Lacdao of The Philippines; three nieces and four nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday after 10 a.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Benedict Catholic Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial and graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
