Hollister native
Hollister native Ana Delia (Casas) Marquez died Thursday Dec. 12, 2002 in Fresno. She was 42.

Mrs. Marquez was born and raised in Hollister in a family of seven sisters and five brothers. She graduated from San Benito High School and worked at Dick Bruhn’s. After high school she moved to San Jose, then to Fresno in 1985 where she and her husband began Marquez Brothers International, known for its “El Mexicano” brand of foods.

She is survived by her husband, Jaime Marquez of Fresno; her son, Jaime Ariel Marquez of Fresno; her mother, Nieves Casas of Hollister; her brothers and sisters, Rosa Maria Casas, Irene Casas, Gloria Santos and Alfredo Casas, all of Hollister, Martha Aguilar, Luis Carlos Casas and Fernando Casas, all of Fresno, Arturo Casas of Visalia and Esthela Quiroz and Irma Teresa Gomez, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; and 43 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melesio Casas, and her brother, Javier Casas.

Funeral services were held Monday in Fresno. A memorial Mass will be offered Friday at 7 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Hollister.
