Joseph Zazueta passed away at the age of 86 years on Tuesday, February 9th. He was a native of San Juan Bautista and a life long resident of San Benito County who was passionately devoted to his profession as a Baker for over 60 years. He began his career in San Juan Bautista later moving to Hollister where he owned and operated Hollister Baker for 35 years. “His bakery was known far and wide”, said his sons. Joe was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church. Surviving Joe are his sons Jim Zazueta, spouse Paulette of Janesville, and Drew Zazueta of Hollister; his sisters Alice Hyman, Felly Kelly, and Rosie Kavanough; his grandchildren, great grandchildren,

nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Ruth Ann Beelaard and brother David Zazueta.

Friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church 5th & College Sts., Hollister on Thursday, Feb. 18th at 10:00 a.m. which will be followed by interment at San Juan Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Hollister Post 9242, V.F.W. A reception will follow at the San Juan V.F.W. Hall.
