Angelo James Bertero, 75, a Gilroy Native passed away on June 13th, 2010, in San Jose, CA. Angelo was born September 25th, 1934.

Angelo was a very loving person. He enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.

He enjoyed running the family winery, Bertero Winery until it was sold in 1983. He then changed careers and opened a distributorship called Buena Vista Barn Company until 2004 when he retired. After retiring Angelo enjoyed working around his home, sitting out by the pool with his faithful pups, going out to dinner with friends, trips to Reno and spending time with his family.

Angelo is survived by Roberta, his wife of 32 years. Daughters, Kim Herrera of Hollister, Darbie Ricotti (Pat) of Hollister, Andrea Michelle Bertero (Mark Noriega) of Gilroy, Gina D’Amelio of Gilroy. Granddaughter, Mashawn Herrera. Great Grandchildren, Courtney Herrera and Preston Enzs. Niece’s, Angela Scarcella (Mike), Elizabeth Kornegay (Mark), Katherine Greene. Nephew, Christian Greene (Monica). Great Nieces, Brittany and Josephine Mary Scarcella, Ava and Juliana Kornegay. Great Nephew, Nathaniel Greene. Brother in law Michael Greene (Carolyn). First wife, Rosanne Richardson (John).

Angelo is preceded in death by his Mother, Josephine Mary Bertero. Father, Angelo Bertero and Brother, Carl Bertero.

A memorial service will take place at St. Stephens Episcopal Church on July 3rd, at 2:00 followed by a Celebration of Angelo’s Life at the Bertero Home.
