Editor,

Here we go again. Another sports editor, this time out of Morgan Hill, has decided to put his 2 cents in. I figure there are only two scenarios that could happen that will change their views on cheerleading.

One: they have a daughter who chooses this sport and sees first hand the time, energy and sweat that goes into it. God forbid some sports editor tells his daughter it’s just performance art.

Two: cheerleading becomes a male dominated sport with million dollar contracts, agents and individual endorsements. Then maybe it will get the credit it deserves. Let’s not forget that the girls and boys you sports editors are trashing will one day be our community leaders. Be careful what you say, one might even end up being your boss one day.
