Firefighters responded to the fourth fire in three days in the Park Hill area Wednesday, and said the circumstances surrounding the cause of the blazes are suspicious.

The Hollister Fire Department, along with county firefighters, responded to a small fire that burned approximately 25 feet on the north side of Park Hill around 4 p.m., said Hollister Fire Capt. Mike O’Connor.

Firefighters put the fire out within about 15 minutes, but it is “suspicious that there are that many fires in the same area,” O’Connor said.

Two separate fires burned small areas of Park Hill Tuesday afternoon. Each fire burned about half an acre of grass each, and another small fire near that area was put out the day before, according to firefighters.

Anyone with information about the fires should contact the Hollister Fire Department at (831) 636-4325.
