 ANTONIO FERREIRA, 95, of Morgan Hill passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, after a short illness at his home in Morgan Hill, surrounded by loved ones.
 Born in Oakland, CA, his family returned to the Azores [via the Madeira Islands] in 1921 due to a family illness.
 Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Filomena Ferreira of Morgan Hill. Father of Alzira Hernandez (Tito) and Lidia Gomes (Tim) of Morgan Hill, Manny Ferreira (Susan) of Penn Valley, CA and Maria Bosley (Allen) of Idaho. Brothers, Daniel Ferreira (Rose) of Newark, CA and Manuel Ferreira of the Azores Islands and sister, Leocadia Oliveira of Rhode Island.
 Preceded in death by his son, Tony Ferreira, daughter, Maria Ferreira and son-in-law, Tito Hernandez, brothers, Vanceslau and Elder, sisters, Alzira Goularte and Maria Gilda. Grandfather of Joey Ferreira, James Hernandez, Michael Gomes, Manny Ferreira Jr., Denise Ferreira, Danny Furtado, Katie Wurzel, Amy Neal, Cindy Sweigart, Don Bosley, Sandra Thornton, Tenica Garcia, Sheena Ferreira and Autumn Romestant. Great-grandfather of Tommas, Marcus, Ava, Mason, Graden, Maggie, Caleb, Paulo, Micah, Ella, Ellie, Delaney, Alena, Gracie, Olivia, Addie, Elden, Ally and Stella and one new great-grandchild due shortly.
 Moved to Morgan Hill in 1959 and was later joined in 1961 by his wife and family from Pico, Azores.
 Member of St. Catherine’s Church, Morgan Hill, I.F.D.E.S. of Gilroy, Our Lady of Fatima, Gilroy, P.F.S.A. of San Leandro and Brotherhood of Saint Anthony. Worked as a dairyman before becoming disabled in 1972.
 He loved to garden, visit his beloved Pico, having a ‘traguinho’ with family and friends and enjoyed trips to the casinos.
