Antonio Rodriguez passed away peacefully on October 6, 2012; he is the beloved husband of Amelia Rivas.

 Tony is preceded in death by his parents Felipe Rodriguez and Gregoria Mata and his beloved brothers Eduardo and Felipe Rodriguez.

 He is survived by his brothers Henry and Roberto Rodriguez and sisters Etna Borerro and Irma Rodriguez, seven nephews, six nieces, 12 grandnephews and nine grandnieces and one great-grandniece, all of San Jose.

 He is also survived by his Aunt Virginia Rodriguez and many cousins in San Antonio and Lubbock, TX, as well as several cousins in Anaheim, CA.

 When Tony arrived in Gilroy, he worked the fields with his family. He picked prunes, cherries and apricots. Tony attended Gilroy High School, and was married to Amelia for 48 years. He is survived by his children Felipe, Etna, and Sonia Rodriguez.

 He is the grandfather one grandson, three granddaughters and he recently became a great-grandfather.

 Tony was born in 1946 in San Antonio, TX and has lived in Gilroy for over 50 years.

 We will miss him dearly and we pray that he is in our Lord’s care and may he rest in peace.

 There is a saying by one of Tony’s siblings, “There is nothing more important than family, because love is in our hearts.”

 We will love him and miss him forever.

 Visitation will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Habing Family Funeral Home, from 2:00 P.M., with a service starting at 6:00 P.M.

 Funeral services will be on Friday, October 19, 2012, also at Habing Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow funeral service at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy.
