Anzar High School next week is set to hold a conference geared toward providing applicable and innovative professional development for teachers.
The program—“Inspiring Together: A K-12 Academic Conference for Innovative Teachers”—offers pre-K through high school teachers a chance to collaborate through workshops.
The San Benito County Office of Education is partially sponsoring it. Attendees can earn a unit of continuing education for the training and can purchase it through the California State University, Monterey Bay.
Workshops include the next generation science standards, English/language arts development, Common Core state standards, technology, special education and physical education.
The conference will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the high school at 2000 San Juan Highway. A light breakfast and BBQ lunch will be offered.
The cost of attendance is $20 before Nov. 11 and $30 the day of the event. The fee for administrators is waived if two teachers attend with the administrator. To register, go to sanbenito.k12oms.org/eventdetail.php?id=105973.
