Is it really necessary to photograph a grieving family as on the
front page of your Nov. 20 paper?
Dear Editor,

Is it really necessary to photograph a grieving family as on the front page of your Nov. 20 paper?

You show Mr. Ailes and daughter, Mrs. Santos and Marlene Serrato, the family of fallen Marine hero Jeramy Ailes, grieving at the flag ceremony at Barrett Elementary.

We all feel the loss of a native son, but we do not need to visually intrude in this most tragic time of a family.

I would like to see you take the “high road” and show respect to the family and allow them their privacy.

John W. Wilton, Morgan Hill
