The latest armed robbery occurred at Straw Hat Pizza on San Felipe Road, just seven days after an armed robbery at the nearby Taco Bell in Hollister.
Suspects used a rifle in the Aug. 4 incident at Taco Bell. Police reported that three suspects Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. walked into the Straw Hat Pizza with a rifle and handgun and demanded money from employees. They assaulted one employee with the rifle and handgun and fled on foot after the robbery, according to police.
There were no customers inside at the time, while the injured employee was treated at the scene for cuts to the head.
The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male, possibly in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, with a light complexion and a blonde or reddish goatee. He was described as wearing a black sweater, gray shorts and white socks pulled up to his knees. This suspect was armed with a rifle, according to police.
The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a bandana over his face.
The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height and 190 pounds, wearing a bandana over his face.
