After the death of my dog Pumpkin last year, I couldn’t imagine another dog stealing my heart the way she did. But three months later, along came Bailey, whose photo on a rescue website made me catch my breath. I knew I was meant to be hers.
Her resemblance to a Teddy bear makes people want to pick her up and cuddle – which she’s more than happy to do – and she often appears to be smiling, thanks to her silly underbite.
When not chasing a green squeaky ball, she’s often found hanging out at my desk soaking up love from my colleagues.
Now that she’s been with me for more than a year, that Bailey girl has taken hold of my heart and made my house into a home again.
