Hollister High will hold a first annual Baler Fundamentals Football Camp for incoming and returning freshmen June 14-15 at Andy Hardin Field.

The camp runs Saturday, June 14 with three sessions from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also Sunday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost is $20 per player. Sign-ups are June 10 at 2 p.m. at Andy Hardin Field. Players will receive helmets and pads at that time. The date was moved up one day to accomodate graduation for local junior highs, which is on June 11.

“We’re hoping to have 60 to 70 guys,” said Baler varsity head coach Chris Cameron. “We’ll have 13 coaches which will be a good coach-to-player ratio. We’re going to teach our offensive and defensive systems.”

The Baler summer football program begins June 17 and will run through July 25. Workout sessions are 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and no fee is involved.

All prospective junior varsity and varsity football players are invited to attend the Competitive Edge Football Camp at Santa Clara High. The camp runs from July 26-28. Cost is $135 per player.

And the Balers will attend the Championship Defense Camp at Gilroy High July 16-17. Cost is $70.
