The San Benito golf team just came up short Wednesday at Spring
Hills against Monte Vista, falling 212-203.
Megan Smith led the Balers with a 52, and Johni Kiesewetter
followed with a 53. Both Ashley Cullumber and Jenny Maheu shot a
55. Hillary Williams recorded a 56, and Corryn Pacheco capped off
the scoring with a 60.
San Benito will be at home Tuesday at Rigdemark against the No.
1 Santa Catalina, who is currently undefeated.

Frosh volleyball

After defeating North Salinas in games. 25-17, 25-16, 15-7, the freshman volleyball team fell a little short against Salinas, losing 13-25, 25-22, 4-15.

The second game was a come from behind exciting game, featuring great serving, passing and defense from Maggie Cuneo. Samantha Patton also had two diving saves at the end of the game. Danielle Scibuola added three aces, and Stacie Mead had four kills.

JV boys polo

Steve Larson and Rory Bloch scored two goals each for the JV boys 9-5 win over visiting Monterey Wednesday. Duffy Barrett, Blaine Curtice, Brian Rocha and Jesse Rice each scored a goal. Alex Marks played goalie all four quarters and did a great job. The overall record for the jv team is now 5-4 and 3-0 in league.

Frosh football

The Baler frosh football team defeated visiting Monterey 33-10 Thursday night.
