The Hollister High junior varsity girls basketball team kept walking the walk with a resounding 50-18 defeat at Alisal last Friday.
It was the eighth time this season the Balers, who are averaging 45 points per game, have kept an opponent to 25 points or less.
“I told the girls to send a message to the rest of the Salinas teams by beating Alisal strongly,” said Baler head coach Tom Dean. “I wanted them to know that we’re the team to beat and that they shoul have some concern when we walk into their gym to play them. The girls did just that.”
The Balers (12-2) were led by Jaime Hall, who had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Ashley Patton continued to impress with 10 points, four rebounds and five steals. Jen Crepeau and Denise Simens had eight rebounds each, while Johni Kiesewetter and Jaime Flores had six points each.
