The San Benito girls tennis team picked up its second win of the
season on Tuesday when it silenced visiting Alisal 7-0 at the
Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister.
The closest match came in No. 3 doubles, where San Benito’s Anne
Tobias and Gianna Brigantino defeated Yesenia Lopez and Jessica
Guriguez 7-6, 6-3.
The remainder of the matches, though, were all comfortably in
San Benito’s favor. In fact, the Balers won 72 of the 87 sets
played on Tuesday.

Gavilan College Women’s Volleyball
The Gavilan College Rams went 3-1 at the 2010 Delta Classic Tournament last weekend in Stockton and finished in fourth place overall.
The Rams are now 3-3 overall on the season.
Gavilan College Men’s Soccer
The Gavilan College men’s soccer team improved to 2-1-1 on the early season last Friday when it defeated host Mission College by a 5-1 score in Santa Clara.
The comfortable victory was the Rams’ first road match this season. The team was coming off three straight contests at home.
