Barbara Bisceglia passed away at Mabie Skilled Nursing Southside Sunday evening, Feb. 21st, 2010, after a courageous battle against cancer. Barbara was a native of Madera, was raised in Livingston, and has been a resident of San Benito County since 1964. As a homemaker for 45 years and the Office Manager for Joe’s Plumbing for 22 years, Barbara demonstrated a sincere love and interest for her family and their activities. “What she enjoyed the most was spending time with family and grandchildren,” said her husband Joseph. In addition she enjoyed the out-of-doors with her husband camping, hunting, fishing, traveling in their recreational vehicle; crocheting, embroidery, cooking and baking. Joe and Barbara enjoyed going to Immaculate Conception Church each week to work within the grounds until her health would not permit her to continue.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Alvin and Bonnie Lamb. She is survived by her husband of Joe Bisceglia of Paicines; her children and their spouses Anthony and Michele Bisceglia of Tres Pinos and Tammie and Charles Schlesinger of Hollister; her grandchildren Kenny and Joseph Bisceglia, Felicia Warren, Ashley Bisceglia, Sara and Richard Schlesinger; great-granddaughter Angelina Rodriguez; her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Chris Lamb of Hollister; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Emma Lee Lamb.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of The Resurrection and a celebration of Barbara’s life on Thursday, February 25th, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church 7290 Airline Highway, Tres Pinos. A reception will follow. Private inurnment will be held.
Memorial donations are preferred to San Benito Home Health Care or to Mabie Skilled Nursing Southside in care of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Mortuary 870 San Benito St., Hollister.
