The San Benito baseball team’s scheduled game this week against Everett Alvarez will be made up on Thursday as part of a doubleheader with the Eagles, San Benito manager Michael Luna confirmed.

Tuesday’s contest with the Salinas school was rained out and was initially rescheduled to be made up on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. However, the teams decided to instead play Thursday at 2:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader — the second game being a make-up from a March 13 contest that was postponed after Everett Alvarez was unable to field a full team.

In the one and only contest between the two teams this season, the Balers posted 16 hits on the Eagles en route to an 18-2 victory. The March 16 game was called in the fifth inning due to the 10-run rule.

San Benito (11-0 TCAL, 15-4) is also scheduled to play at Salinas on Friday at 4 p.m.
