Bernice A. Foster , 93, passed away in Saratoga , CA, March 19, 2010. She is survived by her son Dale Foster and daughter-in-law Aileen Teren-Foster of Morgan Hill, 5 grandchildren: Melissa (Heath), Erinn, Katherine, Andrew and Victoria, 3 great-grandchildren: Noah, Carly and Brooklyn, her cousin Dolores Bigelow (91 years old) and her family and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard in 1996, her brother, Lewis Gunn, 2003 and her sister, Kathryn McCord, 1985.
She was a native of Bryan, OH , and was Valedictorian at Bryan High. During WWII, she served as a WAVE in the US Navy. Later, she lived in Palo Alto 28 years, Spokane, WA for 27 years, and in Saratoga since 2008. She was active in the American Baptist Churches in Palo Alto and Spokane . Bernice was also a member of PEO and enjoyed painting, and reading.
