Betty Frances Heinberg was born in Gardenia, CA on July 28, 1921 and passed away on July 11, 2010. A long time resident of Gilroy and Morgan Hill. The wife of the former Dean of Instruction at Gavilan College. Betty was a loving mother to Craig and Susan Heinberg who graduated respectively from UCLA and Stanford.

Betty operated the Classic School of Ballet in Gilroy and Morgan Hill for a number of years and produced some ballet students who chose dancing as their careers.

Her early years were involved in dancing. She danced for the San Francisco Ballet Company and the San Carlo Opera Company.

She specialized in Spanish dancing as well as ballet and danced with the Trinidad Goni Spanish Dance troupe that raised funds in support of Spain’s republic against Spanish dictator Francisco Franco during the years 1936 to 1939. During World War II, Betty traveled all over the United States dancing with the USO, entertaining the troops.

Her Spanish dancing and ballet skills opened the doors for her to work in the motion picture industry alongside artists like Esther Williams and Yvonne DeCarlo. She danced in the move, “La Vie En Rose”, in addition to performing on the sets of various old time Western movies dancing with artists like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, and danced ala Chorus-Dancing.

In the early 1980’s and early 1990’s Betty was a real estate agent with Jackson Oaks Realty, Ted Glenn Realty if Zubow Realty in Morgan Hill, CA.
