DOMESTIC ABUSE: Elaine Rodriguez, 19, of 1510 Valley View Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police at 12:06 p.m. on Tuesday for felony abuse to her 23-year-old boyfriend. A continued argument lasting about a day escalated into Rodriguez scratching the back and neck of her boyfriend, who received no medical treatment, police said.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Jose Munoz Elizarraraz, 39, of 151 Santa Ana Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police at 10:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Hawkins Street on Tuesday for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08 and driving without a license, both misdemeanors.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Shanda Teresa Renfrow, 26, of 31 McCray St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police at Fourth and San Benito streets at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08, a misdemeanor.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Apolinar Rojas Lopez, 38, of 1050 Central St. in Hollister, was arrested at 510 San Benito St. at 2:10 a.m. on Monday by Hollister police for evading police and driving under the influence of methamphetamine, both misdemeanors, possession of methamphetamines and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, both felonies.
GANG DISTURBANCE: Hollister police responded to 100 San Felipe Rd., in front of Jerry’s Restaurant, at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, to a call of a group of young males yelling obscenities back and forth and flashing gang signs. Individuals from both parties have known associations with the Sureño and Norteño gangs, police said, but no physical confrontation ever occurred and no one was arrested.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Juventino David Cortez, 25, who resides in the 6000 block of San Felipe Road in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, both felonies, at 10:08 p.m. at San Felipe and Shore roads on Saturday.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Derek Shields Rowe, 35, who resides in the 50 block of Westside Road in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on San Felipe Road, north of Maple Street, at 2:05 a.m. on Saturday.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Jose Baltazar Valdez, 23, of 1761 Wright Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence and driving without a license, both misdemeanors, in the 1000 block of East Street at 10:23 p.m. on Saturday.
