Bob Delmue passed from us suddenly December 10, 2011, after a long and happy life.
He was born in San Jose, California, January 4, 1925. He went to work for Western California Telephone Company which became GTE and later Verizon. He retired from Verizon in 1986 after many years of service.
Bob was a man of many talents including wood working, golfing, and fishing, but his greatest talent was collecting friends. He was so well loved that friends were happy to lose to him at cards as they often did. He loved fishing and took great delight at besting his friends at that as well. He would give friends his best lures and still catch the biggest and most fish of the day.Family was most important to Bob and once a year he would visit his daughter and son-in-law Dena and Darrin Kehler in Alaska. They always had a wonderful time together with activities such as camping, fishing, cards, and hanging out. Bob would ride as a passenger in the side by side motorcycle to lunch on Knik glacier. His fan club was extended to many good friends in Alaska. When he returned home, he had a great time again showing pictures of the trips to his friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Janice and daughter Lorrie in 2005.
