A local couple recently emailed the Pinnacle looking for some help with what they called a “broken sidewalk” in front of a building at 470 Tres Pinos Road in Hollister.
The residents wrote: “It is on the path for anyone walking or riding bikes along the sidewalk. This area is used a lot by students at the high school or at Rancho San Justo School. We have told the city workers many times, but nothing ever gets done. We are afraid someone is going to get hurt there.”
The Pinnacle briefly talked to Hollister Public Works Department streets official Marcelo Orta on the matter and will follow up on it. Orta said the streets division right now is understaffed, with six people to cover the city and county, but said he would get back to us on the Tres Pinos Road concern.
