Voter Registration: The San Benito County Republican Central Committee will be conducting a voter registration drive in front of the Hollister Post Office (100 Maple Street) from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. Voters of all parties may register to vote. If you have moved recently, you need to re-register. The last day to register to vote in the March 2 primary election is Tuesday, Feb. 17. SJB Chamber: The San Juan Bautista Chamber of Commerce mixer will be Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at 410 Third Street, Pepper Tree Corner.

Historical Society: The San Benito County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Dunne Park Club House, at Sixth and West streets. The guest will be Joe McMahan, a descendant of the Castros of Monterey and San Juan Bautista. The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

New Day Spa: Patel Day Rose will have its ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, Jan. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at 306 B Third Street in San Juan Bautista.

Wine and Cheese: Learn how to pair farmstead cheese with various wines. The tasting will feature farmstead cheeses from local family owned farms and handcrafted wines.
