Parade and Fiesta: The 2004 Saddle Horse Show Parade and Fiesta will be held today. The Parade begins at 6:15 p.m. on San Benito Street. The Fiesta featuring the music of 8-Second Ride, a watermelon eating contest, pie eating contest, face painters and balloon artists begins at 7 p.m.

LIbrary Book SALE: The Friends of the Library will hold its monthly book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday June 26 and July 24 behind the SBC Free Library at 470 Fifth and Monterey streets. Find new and used books on health, education, mystery, religion, romance, science, children’s, Spanish, travel and National Geographics. CAR WASH: The San Benito High School Junior Class of 2006 will hold a car wash at the medical center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 26 at the corner of Memorial and Sunnyslope. Art museum outing: The Free Caregivers will hold a social outing to the Monterey Museum of Art at La Mirada on July 15 from ll:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Caregivers from Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties are welcome. 10 Year anniversary: A Taste of Monterey Wine Visitors’ Center will celebrate it’s 10 year anniversary during the month of June. Visitors will have the opportunity to receive special offers for the entire month — a privilege normally given only to wine club members.
