Caltrans is set to start sign removal and replacement Thursday along U.S. Highway 101 near San Juan Bautista.

On July 27, Caltrans will close alternating lanes on southbound Highway 101 at Rocks and Cannon Roads just outside of San Juan Bautista.

In a press release dated July 24, Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.

Electronic message boards will be established to inform motorists of the work. California Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control. Expect delays not to exceed 20 minutes, but alternate routes are advised.

One regulatory sign and one large guide sign on the shoulder will be removed and replaced in order to ensure safety.

Roadwork will be performed by crews from Hollister, Salinas and Santa Cruz.
