Hollister resident Catherine J. Christensen died Saturday, Aug. 2, at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was 87.

Born in San Jose, Christensen lived in San Francisco until she moved to Hollister eight years ago to be closer to her cousin. She worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 49 years.

Christensen is survived by her cousins, Barney and Charlotte Tranberg of Hollister, Vernon Tranberg of Reno, and Janice Klaumann of Ennis, Mont.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. A private family inurnment will be at Oak Hills Memorial Park in San Jose.
