Charles, surround by family, passed away peacefully at his home, early Wednesday morning, September 9, 2009.

He was born and lived in the Los Angeles area, until moving with his family to San Jose in 1960 and retired to Morgan Hill in 1986.

Charles had lost a leg at the age of 17, but that never stopped him from accomplishing what he wanted to do.

When the war in Korea broke out, he was determined to enlist and was disappointed but not surprised when he was denied after they discovered he was an amputee.

He was always tenacious in his bid to accomplish whatever he wanted to do, whether it was work or play.

Over the years, he participated in many activities- drag racing, mortorcycle racing, dunnebuggy racing, fishing, water skiing, flying his airplane, skeet and trap shooting, Jeep 4-wheeling and golf.

He is survived by his devoted wife Eunice, children Charlene, Cheryl, Steve, Jeff, Deena, David, nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made to Odyssey Healthcare, Inc., a hospice of Campbell. CA.

A memorial service- a celebration of his life will be held at Mama Mia Restaurant, 275 E. Dunne Ave., Morgan Hill, CA , October 3, 2009, at 1:00 P.M.
