Charlotte Marie Cimino, 76, resident of Gilroy, was born on January 30, 1935, in Santa Clara, CA. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on August 13, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alta and William Pacheco, husband Don Cimino in 1987, sister Patricia Mandeville in 2007. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and a friend to everyone. She is survived by her brother Bill Pacheco and his wife Tina; her three children Terri and John Valdez, Michael Cimino, Julie and Dennis Barroza; grandchildren, Monica and Marissa Valdez, Rhea (Cimino) and Chris Reed, Aaron Cimino, Justin and Sierra Barroza; two great-granddaughters, Claire and Chloe Reed; sister and brother-in-law Bunny and Al Filice; and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated college with a degree in Business Administration from College of Notre Dame, Belmont. She lived in Hawaii working for Dole Hawaiian Pineapple about one year. During college she was set up on a blind date with Don Cimino by Carl Crispino and when she returned from Hawaii, married Don in 1958.

She had a great love for fine food and wine and loved anything to do with food, watching Food Network, reading cooking magazines and sharing recipes. Her famous cheesecake will not be forgotten and will be passed down for generations.

She will be remembered as a great story teller and a devout Christian. Her strength was amazing along with her faith. She lived as a true inspiration to all who knew her. Family and friends will greatly miss her and remember her beautiful smile. She was a classy lady who will be in our hearts forever.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, August 17th, 6:00-8:00 P.M. with a Vigil at 7:00 P.M. both at the Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18th, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gilroy.
