 Cheryl Jo Myers, also known as C.J. Myers, or Cheryl Trujillo, passed away peacefully, on August 9th, 2015, in her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
 Cheryl was born in Oakland, CA, in 1945. She grew up in California, then moved to Arkansas, where she attended The University of Arkansas before returning to California and to attend San Jose State University, where she studied and pursued her life long passion; art.
 Cheryl continued to develop her art talents while working for the City of San Jose from which she retired as a senior engineering technician in 2000.
 She devoted herself to art, her family, and many friends.
 She was a resident of Morgan Hill, where she owned an art gallery for many years before relocating to Rio Vista, CA.
 Cheryl was an award-winning artist, who specialized in portraits, landscapes, and still life paintings. Her paintings have been collected by people in; Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, Mexico, Russia and in The United States.
 She was a director at the Valle del Sur Art Guild and was inducted into the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
 She won many awards for her paintings and was published in the Pastel Journal. She was a much sought after portrait artist but more recently, her works included brilliant landscape and still life pieces. She was at the top of her art career when she passed away.
 Cheryl loved life, had a generous spirit, and a great sense of humor. She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends.
 Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Kverno, her grandson, Evan, and her two brothers Ken and Doug Myers and their families.
