The California Highway Patrol has identified the Hollister man
killed Friday while riding a motorcycle on Highway 25 as Kyle A.
Weaver. The 32-year-old was killed Friday evening when his
motorcycle struck a semi-tractor trailer on Highway 25 at Bolado
Road, according to a statement from the CHP.

The California Highway Patrol has identified the Hollister man killed Friday while riding a motorcycle on Highway 25 as Kyle A. Weaver.
Weaver, 32, was killed Friday evening when his motorcycle struck a semi-tractor trailer on Highway 25 at Bolado Road, according to a statement from the CHP.
CHP spokesman Matt Peters has said the agency is examining who was responsible for the accident.
While riding a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, Weaver had been northbound on Highway 25 south of Bolado Road.
The 2000 Volvo tractor trailer was turning onto the road from the county historical park driveway and had been blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes when the motorcycle driver came around a curve and could not come to a complete stop before hitting the trailer’s rear, according to the CHP.
Peters identified the driver as Stepan Stadnik, 32, of Sacramento.
Authorities pronounced Weaver dead at the scene. Both lanes of Highway 25 were closed for about two and a half hours.
According to his obituary, published in the Free Lance:
Kyle Adam Weaver was born on February 9, 1977 in Hollister.
He is survived by his father Charles Dean Weaver and mother Carole W. Weaver; brother Kevan Dean (wife Shari) residing in Seattle, Wash.; sister Wendy Ann Palmer (husband Wayne) residing in American Falls, Idaho; sister Tara Sue Elliot (husband Mike) residing in Boise, Idaho; brother Kory Sean Weaver residing in Boise, Idaho; and his grandmothers Bethia Weaver and Viola Workman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Jess, Ali, Sam, Jake, Isaac, Olivia, Cortney, Tyler, McKinzie, and Madalyn.
He was preceded in death by his sister Carlene Marie Carter and grandfathers Charles Evan Weaver and
Wendell Ovie Workman.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS 3rd and 4th Ward Chapel on Pocatello Ave. in American Falls, Idaho under the direction of Davis Rose Mortuary on Sat. March 28th. Visitation is 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Service is at 1 p.m.
Contact the mortuary or a family member for the date and time of service. A memorial service will be held in Hollister at the LDS Hollister Ward Chapel on 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday (viewing). Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
