Around this holiday season, golf clubs are on the Christmas lists of many of you. With the broad array of new technology, coupled with a dose of marketing, choosing the club that is REALLY right for you may not be as easy as it sounds. Just because your golfing buddy hits the heck out of the new Taylor Made R7 doesn’t necessarily mean it is right for you. Furthermore, even if it is right for you should I get the same shaft, shaft flex, loft etc.

These are all questions to ask before you purchase or even put a club on your list. Be very specific. Ask specific questions of the salesperson or better yet, they should be asking you. If they don’t know your tendencies as far as shot shape, average distance, height you hit the ball, etc., then they can’t possibly get you into the correct club for you. The only club they will sell you is the one they make the highest $$ on. That doesn’t do you any good once you get on the first tee.

If you have any questions about your shot tendencies and what club or set make up would be best for you, please e-mail me at gi*******@ao*.com. I would be happy to answer any questions and make you happy with your holiday gift instead of putting it in the garage and letting it collect dust.
