The Hollister City Council is set to authorize Police Chief Jeff Miller to accept a grant for drunk-driving enforcement from the state.

The Hollister City Council will consider the authorization at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.

The grant comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety and can be used for up to $71,000 to pay for overtime costs and materials in providing enforcement of driving under the influence.
