Beloved Father and Grandfather, Clarence “Casey” Parker age 84 passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was born to Theodore Clifford Parker and Lena Maude Hopfield in Sacramento, CA.

Growing up in Oregon and primarily California, Casey graduated from Covina High School in 1944. In 1944 he entered into the service of the United States Navy ROTC and was sponsored to enroll in the University of Southern California. He transferred to U.C. Berkeley where he graduated in 1949 with a BSEE and was eventually commissioned with the rank of Lieutenant Commander after 18 years of service in the United States Naval Reserves.

He began his career at the U.S. Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory in San Francisco with assignments on nuclear weapons test sites in the South Pacific Eniwetok Atoll and Nevada. During his career he received an MSCS degree from the University of Southern California and later completed the PHD program at UCLA. He continued in Naval Research until his retirement in 1979.

While living in San Francisco, Casey met Dolores Contioso. They were married in 1951 and had four children. He is survived by Dolores and his four children: Larry, Ray (Tammy), Roy and Carol Noble. In addition, he is survived by his four grandchildren: Thomas, Anna, Claire and Marc.

He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and active in Glee Clubs at both USC and U.C. Berkeley where he also became involved in Barbershop Quartet singing. He joined SPEBSQSA in 1947 and retained a membership for over 60 years. Also, he was an aircraft pilot, professional engineer, college professor, member of I.E.E.E. and an FM radio host for KKUP in Cupertino.
