Hollister police are looking for a suspect in a stabbing and robbery at a downtown liquor store, while the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Hollister Police Department.

Police responded about 10:25 p.m. Sunday to Pacheco Liquors at South and San Benito streets.

A male, with his face largely covered by a sweatshirt, forced two victims into a small office. A juvenile in the store at the time escaped unharmed, according to the HPD. The stabbing victim, a 65-year-old male store clerk, suffered a serious wound to the upper body and was transported by helicopter to a Bay Area hospital for treatment.

The suspect escaped with a cash register and unknown amount of money, and was last seen running west on South Street.

He was wearing a dark sweatshirt with the hood over his head and tight around the face. He was described as 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds.
