On Saturday, June 12, the Aromas Community Grange will present The Percolators, providing music for their monthly contra dance. Calling and teaching will be Greg McKenzie.

The Percolators are Laurie Rivin on fiddle, Paul Rangell on guitar and Janet Dows on piano and concertina. The Percolators are one of the area’s top contra dance bands. They play a wide range of tunes from driving reels and jigs to flowing and magical waltzes written by Rivin herself.

The focus of this evening will be an engaging night of social dance for all with a varied program of fun and easy dances for all levels. The evening will start at 7:30.

Newcomers are always welcome and are encouraged to dance with more experienced partners on their first night. There is no need to bring a partner. An optional beginner’s orientation is available at 7:15. There is an $8 donation at the door. The dance ends at 10:30 p.m. Casual, light clothing and comfortable, flat, soft-soled shoes are recommended.

The historic Aromas Grange hall is located at the corner of Rose and Bardue streets in Aromas. For more information, call Greg at (831) 726-7253.
