Funeral services for former Hollister resident Corina I.
(Cirillo) Matarese were held Thursday, June 3, 2005, at the Sasone
Funeral Home in Warren, Rhode Island, with a concelebrated Mass of
Christian burial in St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren.
Funeral services for former Hollister resident Corina I. (Cirillo) Matarese were held Thursday, June 3, 2005, at the Sasone Funeral Home in Warren, Rhode Island, with a concelebrated Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren. Rev. Bertrand L. Theroux was the principal celebrant and homilist for the Mass, and was assisted by Rev. Peter J. Gower, Rev. W. Douglas Grant, Rev. Angelo Carusi and Rev. James McSweeney, S.S.C. Sister Joeline Teixeira, RSM, and Sister Colleen Matarese, SSD, were the readers for the Mass. Sister Dorothy Schwarz, SSD, read the prayer of the faithful. Ms. Matarese’s grandchildren presented the offertory gifts.
Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol, R.I., where Father Theroux read the committal prayers. Serving as pallbearers were James E. Karnes, Anthony Marshall, Kevin A. Groff, Domenic Soignoli, Fred Cirillo, Frank Cirillo, Manuel Travers and Domenic L. Tangredi.
Mrs. Matarese, 79, of Warren but born in Bristol, died Sunday, May 29, at home. She was the wife of Casperino “John” Matarese. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima High School, 360 Market St., Warren, R.I. 02885.
Kenneth P. Rey
Kenneth P. Rey passed away at home June 12, 2005 in Stockton, CA. He was born June 12, 1944 in Hollister and was 61. Services were held at 1pm Friday, June 17, 2005 at the DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, Stockton. Committal was at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, also in Stockton. Kenneth, a Stockton resident of 40 years, was the office manager for Cal-Sierra Pipe Inc. for 39 years. He loved antiques and classic cars.
Kenneth is survived by his loving partner of 16 years, Michael Sandoval. He is also survived by his siblings: Louie Rey of Sacramento, Georgia Robinson of Hollister, Janet Slibsager of Hollister, also his nieces Michelle Hernandez and husband Rick, Trisha Ocampo and husband George, and other nieces and nephews.
