A hit and run auto collision occurred late Friday night on San Felipe Road in Hollister.

When a mid-1970s Toyota pickup truck collided at 11:45 p.m. with an early 1980s Chevrolet Camaro at 10 San Felipe Road, the driver of the truck drove away, according to Leo Alvarez, a captain on the Hollister Fire Department.

One passenger in the Camaro, a 22-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to Hazel Hawkins Hospital, Alvarez said. He was treated for minor injuries. The two others drove themselves to the hospital and were also treated for minor injuries, Alvarez said.

Alvarez declined to release identities of passengers in the car. He did not know whether a suspect had been arrested by Sunday night.

The fleeing driver of the truck was suspected to be at fault, Alvarez said. And Fire Capt. Jeff Granucci said police investigators believe the driver may have been drinking alcohol.

Police Sgt. Mike Bogosian, a watch commander on duty Sunday, did not return phone calls.
