Dale Gene Gowers, a resident of San Benito County for the last
eight years passed away after a short illness Saturday, June 5,
2004, at Saint Louise Regional Medical Center in Gilroy at the age
of 61.
Dale Gene Gowers, a resident of San Benito County for the last eight years passed away after a short illness Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Saint Louise Regional Medical Center in Gilroy at the age of 61.
A native of Bell, Dale received his bachelor’s degree In business administration from Cal State Long Beach. Dale was Vice President of AMPAC North, a wholesale tire distributor with a large bank of clients throughout California.
This past January he and his wife Sandra Joan Gowers celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary.
Besides his wife Sandra, he is survived by his daughter Robin Rush, of Rio Del Mar; a son William Gowers, of Hollister; his grandchildren Jordan and Jayce Davis of Rio Del Mar; his sisters Florence Jones, of Oceanside, and Clara Smith, of Brea.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hollister.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary chapel. The Rev. Tracy Vining from the Presbyterian Church of Cambria will be the officiant.
