David Michael Nance Resident of Los Gatos, CA, passed away on Tuesday after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Dave was born in Duluth Minnesota and migrated west where he graduated from Leigh High School in San Jose, CA. After serving his country in Vietnam, Dave married, then earned his Political Science degree at San Jose State University. He started his career at FMC in contract negotiations,

then moved on to establish a State Farm Agency – 33 years and going strong.

Along the way Dave became active in many things; Civil Air Patrol, Oak Grove Parent Association, was an avid campaign volunteer for local and national political candidates, became Creative Director of Live Oak High School Grad Night (92, 94, 98) , devout artist and student of art, guitarist and lullaby aficionado, and of course- golf.

Its easy to see he was a modern day Renaissance man – there was little hecouldn’t do. Jack-of-all-trades,

master of many. His swan song was his very own invention and the “American dream”, founding the novelty hat company, Flair Hair Visors.

Dave is survived by his devoted children; Jennifer Delaney (husband Sean), Marc Nance (wife Taryn) and Heather Johnson (husband Jeff) and six grandchildren Marissa, Luke, Molly, Reilly, Wyatt, Charlie… and one on the way!

Deceased’s funeral arrangements : Friends and Family are invited to a Funeral service next Tuesday December 27th at noon at Advent Lutheran, 16870 Murphyin Mirgan Hill. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, David requested donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Tribute #29769816
