Delfina M. Negrete died Thursday, Sept. 18, at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. She was 71.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed cooking, keeping house and helping others.

She is survived by her husband Antonio Vargas of Mexico; sons Rafael Mejia of Washington, Luis Mejia of Hollister, Efren Mejia of Southern California, Javier Mejia of Southern California, and Jose Negrete of Redding; daughters Eva Amescua, Yolanda De La Cruz of Hollister and Berta Amescua of Mexico; brothers and sisters Berta Negrete, Maria Gonzalez, Jovita Larios, Estella Seneros, Lupe Seneros, Candi Seneros, Angela Ruelas, Aviliada Seneros and Jesus Seneros.

Visitation will be at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until the rosary. Friends are invited to the rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

Family and friends will leave the mortuary Monday, Sept. 22 at 9:30 a.m. to go to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
