Dennis Franklin Johnson died Friday evening at his home at the age of 65 after a lengthly illness.

He was born in Long Beach, California and resided in California all his life, moving to Hollister 24 years ago. A graduate of University of Idaho, he was a Animal Biologist for the Bureau of Land Management for 30 years.

Dennis is survived by his close friend and caregiver, Marcia A. Borst of Hollister; brother of Philip Johnson, wife, Carrie, of Morro Bay, Calif. and Mary Jo Summit, husband, Raul, of Palos Verdes; and many Nieces and Nephews.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 1, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Hollister United Methodist church, 521 Monterey St. Contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in care of the church.

Funeral and Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson funeral Home and Crematory in Hollister.
