Dianne, age 61, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007 after complications from heart surgery at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

Dianne was born to Thelma and Miguel Diaz on October 7, 1945 and grew-up in San Francisco, CA. She later married and raised three children, Daniala, Cathleen and John in San Jose, CA. After working for nearly 30 years in billing and customer service, she retired and moved to Hollister, CA in 2004.

She enjoyed trips to Reno, NV where she played the slots for hours. Playing BINGO was also her favorite pastime. And she often won at both! She never missed the television show, “Survivor” and loved romance novels. On many days you could hear loud music coming from her home, as she treasured the Rock and Roll hits of the 50’s and 60’s. She loved spending time with her furry feline friends, Duke and Dutchess.

Dianne’s family meant the world to her. Her mother and children were her joy, but her grandchildren, her delight. Nothing brought her more joy then spending time with and seeing her grandchildren happy. She was a kind soul who had many friends and family who love and remember her with fondness.

Dianne is survived by her mother, Thelma Rose McKenzie and stepfather, John Stewart of Redwood City, CA, her brother, Miguel Diaz (Kathy) of Jamestown, CA, her daughters; Daniala Thelena Byrne (Al) of Roseville, CA, Cathleen Victoria Power (Chap) of Hollister, CA, her son, John Charles Victor Hauser (Anne) of Redwood City, CA and her beloved grandchildren, Charity Hope Callahan and Karlea Davis Byrne (Daniala), Justin Chappell and Sara Louise Dianne Power (Cathleen), Emily Anne Maria and Rachel Hauser (John).

A Celebration of Dianne’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 18th at Cathleen’s home in Hollister, CA at 3:00 P.M.

Because of her love for animals, her family requests in lieu of flowers, donations/memorials in her name are made to:
