Dear Editor,

Why is it that our county sheriff can park in front of a fire hydrant? I have pictures taken Saturday in Tres Pinos across from the Mini-Mart showing that they did.

There was no emergency. They had plenty of room to park further back, but maybe the San Benito County Sheriff doesn’t know what the legal distance is. So, they thought if they parked in front of it no one would see it, they would hide it.

What is next, they start parking in the handicap spaces?
