Don Francisco Rojas Patino entered into rest in Hollister at the age of 91. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and lived in Hollister since 1967. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked for Jesus Quintero and The Casillas Brothers. He also was a member of The United Farm Workers Union. His family referred to him as “A Giant Among Men.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, who died in 1988 and is survived by his children and their spouses, Mary G. Perez of Hollister, Frank and Irene Perez of El Monte, Christine and Frank Villa of Hollister, Claudia Patino of Los Banos, Lisa Patino of Hemet, Joey and Patsy Patino of Hollister and Henry and Anna Patino of San Juan Bautista. He is also survived by his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his children, Raymond Perez, Adolph Perez and John Patino.

Friends can pay their respects on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 A.M. Friends can gather at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. for a procession to the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.

Donations are preferred to Jovenes de Antano, c/o the funeral home.
