Hospital. He was born in Talihina, Okla. and was 78 years old.
Doyle Z. Edmunds died Wednesday morning at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. He was born in Talihina, Okla. and was 78 years old.

He and his wife, Helen, were married in 1946 in Martinez, Calif. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the Teamsters’ Union and worked for Fiberboard in Antioch and Leatherback in the paper business. He and Helen came to Hollister from Antioch in 1973. His pastimes were gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Edmunds, of Hollister, his children and their spouses, William and Tonya Edmunds of Florida and Donna and John Blink of San Jose, his brother and his wife, Wayne and Nellina Edmunds of Big Cabin, Okla. and his sister, Vera DeSazer of Richardson, Texas and his grandchildren, Todd Edmunds, Daniel Edmunds and Peter and Katie Blink.

Friends can pay their respects Monday, April 12, 2004 from noon until 8 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Larry Ball of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.

Interment and military rites will follow the funeral at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

A reception will follow the services at the family home.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society.
