A magnitude-3.9 earthquake shook Hollister early this morning and was centered right outside of the city, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake occurred at 2:47 a.m. It was centered one mile west of Hollister, according to the USGS Web site. It also was about seven miles east of San Juan Bautista and seven miles northwest of Tres Pinos.

There was no reported damage in the county from the quake, according to a San Benito County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher.
