Long-time Hollister resident
Long-time Hollister resident Edna M. Moore died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003 at Pacific Coast Care Center in Salinas. She was 79.

Mrs. Moore was born in Van Buren, Ark. and had lived in Hollister for 58 years. She and her late husband owned and operated San Benito Auto Wrecking.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Brown of Hollister and Geneva Farrell of Salinas; her brother, Paul Sexton of Hollister; her nieces and nephews, Jim Sexton and and Carolyn Perales, both of Hollister, Rhonda Brown of San Juan Bautista, Wayne Ferrell of Salinas, Wendell, Brian and Mark Sexton, and her niece and caregiver, Geri Sexton.

She was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband, Hamer Moore.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery. Paul Brown will officiate.
