Long-time Hollister resident
Long-time Hollister resident Eileen S. Davidson died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at her home after a brief illness. She was 90.

Mrs. Davidson was born in Statesville, N.C. and had lived in San Benito County for 44 years. She was a homemaker all her adult life and was extremely devoted to her family, her children said. She enjoyed cooking for herself, doing crossword puzzles and listening to music, especially blues and jazz.

She is survived by her children, Betty J. Adams, William Davidson, Henry Davidson, Claude Davidson and his wife, Joyce, all of Hollister, Jacquelyn Davidson of Los Angeles, Brenda Davidson of Sacramento, Clozelle Davidson, Jr. of Riverside and James Davidson and his wife, Robyn, of Oregon; her sister, Lucy Johnson of Richmond, Va.; her brother, William Chatham of Texas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchilden, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death 22 years ago by her husband, Clozelle T. Davidson Sr.; her daughters, Julia Marleen Davidson and Bertha Gill; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and Friday from 9-11 a.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.

Friends are invited to funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Cancer Society, Pancreatic Research, in care of the funeral home.
